REALTOR® Application

Select this option only if one or more of following applies: 

1. You have recently received your Real Estate License and will be joining an association for the very first time.

2. You have never been issued a NRDS number (9-digit number).

3. You have an existing Real Estate License, have already been issued an NRDS number, but have not been an active member of an association within the past 18 months or more. 

Please note: Your Broker In Charge/Firm must be active with the Johnston County Association of Realtors® before you are able to apply. If you are unsure if your BIC/Firm is active with us, please reach out to them before applying!

Select this option only if: 

1. You are currently/were recently active with an Association as a primary member, and are looking to transfer your primary membership to the Johnston County Association of REALTORS®. 

2.You have obtained a Letter of Good Standing from your current primary association certifying your payment of National, State and Local dues for the current year and up to date completion of a Code of Ethics Course.

IMPORTANT: To waive initial fees for the transfer of your primary membership, please enter the promo code TRANSFER where prompted (page 2 of application). This will remove all relevant dues and application fees**!

**Please note: If you are transferring your primary membership, but are not currently an active member of an Association and have not paid dues for the current year, you are not eligible to use the promo code and will be required to pay the full annual dues!

Please note: Your Broker In Charge/Firm must be active with the Johnston County Association of Realtors® before you are able to apply. If you are unsure if your BIC/Firm is active with us, please reach out to them before applying!

Select this option only if: 

1. You are currently active with an Association as a primary member, your primary Association is based outside of the state of North Carolina, and you are looking to add JCAR as a secondary association (not transferring from your primary association).

2.You have obtained a Letter of Good Standing from your current primary association certifying your payment of National and Local dues (you will be billed separately for North Carolina State Dues) for the current year and up to date completion of a Code of Ethics Course.

Select this option only if: 

1. You are currently active with an Association as a primary member, your primary Association is based in the state of North Carolina, and you are looking to add JCAR as a secondary association (not transferring from your primary association).

2.You have obtained a Letter of Good Standing from your current primary association certifying your payment of National, State and Local dues for the current year and up to date completion of a Code of Ethics Course.

Select this option only if one of the following applies:

1. You are the DR/BIC of a New Firm and will be joining an association for the very first time.

2. You are the DR/BIC of an Existing Firm and want to add your firm to JCAR.

3. You are the DR/BIC and an existing member of JCAR, you are creating a New Firm, and want to add your New Firm to JCAR.

Please note: Your Firm must be active with the Johnston County Association of Realtors® before you are able to apply for any level of membership (primary, secondary, or transfer).

Select this option only if one of the following applies:

1. You are the DR/BIC of a Firm that is currently active with a primary association (not JCAR). 

2. You are the DR/BIC of an Existing Firm and will be maintaining your primary membership, but want to add secondary membership for your firm to JCAR.
